iOS and iPadOS need accurate location access to retrieve the name of your Wifi network, without the name of your Wifi network, Netsbee can’t scan it.

Does Netsbee know my exact location?

No, while Netsbee requests accurate location permission (we have to), it only stores the Wifi name (e.g. Jenny’s Network) and the City (e.g. New York).

Why does Netsbee require ‘Precise’ location?

‘Precise’ location is a requirement set by Apple. When we request your Wifi name. If we only requested the general location, the wifi name would not be possible to retrieve.

Does Netsbee know my location when it’s not running? Does it track me in the background?

No, background tracking is not requested or even an option. You can choose from “While Using the App” – which is the suggested option, or “Ask next time or when I share” that will prompt you every time you want to scan.
